An extremely interesting excursion
through the countryside of the Chianti area among delightful
hills, with an ever-changing scenery of vineyards and olive trees.
Upon arrival in Siena, a guide tour of the old city centre:
walking along the small mediaeval streets, admiring the splendid
palaces and ending up at the Cathedral, with the Piccolomini
Library, the Opera Metropolitana Museum. The tour proceeds to
Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, the
Town Hall. Free time for lunch (not included)
Departure for San
Gimignano, a tiny city that has remained intact through the
centuries; situated on top of a hill and is famous for its
numerous towers, frescoes and other art treasures. Free time to
discover this fascinating city.
During the return journey, along the way it is possible to
admire the old medieval village of Monteriggioni enclosed by its
famous walls, still intact. Return to Florence at approx.17:45.

After the panoramic drive by bus along the Arno embankments, the
tour proceeds with a guided visit of Piazza dei Miracoli to find

masterpiece of Romanesque art carried out between the 11th and
12th centuries, the Baptistery and other important monuments. Our
Assistant will walk you to Piazza dei Cavalieri, where the Scuola

After leaving the agency, the tour will cross the city and take the
Autostrada del Sole, northbound (major Italian highway). During the trip,
some of the most beautiful Italian regions will be crossed: Lazio,
Umbria and Tuscany. Arrival in Florence at approximately 11.30 a.m.
The tour of the city will include the
Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with Giotto’s Bell–tower
and Baptistry, the Academy with
Michelangelo’s David (visit), della Signoria’s Square and Palace.
Lunch in a typical restaurant will follow. In the afternoon the tour
will proceed to
Piazza Santa Croce. Free time at your disposal. The drive continues
to Piazzale Michelangelo from where a magnificent view of this
Renaissance city can be admired, including Ponte Vecchio.
At approximately 5.00 p.m. departure for Rome.
